A Person or company who has one or more employee(s) that prepares or
transports hazardous materials or prepares the packages used to transport
hazmat is considered a
Hazmat Employer.
If you, in the course of your job duties, directly affect the
safety of hazmat in transportation, then you are considered a
Hazmat Employee.
If you meet the definition(s) as stated above, there are many other regulations that are applicable to you! You
have to have additional training, specifically HM-126F for hazmat,
HM232 for security, HM225
for propane companies.
MCCS can provide you the training
that is required, and will track all renewable dates for you. We can also
provide guidance for security plans, a very important part of a
compliance review.
There are so many other areas of compliance in regards to the safe
transportation of hazmat. Be sure!
